Now you know when to shift, what path to follow in a corner and since you know about weight transfer you got that being gentle to you car is very useful. Great.
Now, when to brake and when to give gas again.
Well, I am keen about front wheel drive cars only, so the following advices are good ONLY for front wheel drive cars!
You want to brake hard before you start turning your steering wheel (so even if a lots of weight transfers to the front there is no lateral force to get the tail slipping), then you want to get the pressure on the brake lighter and lighter the more you turn the steering wheel in the corner, till getting to the mid point of the corner with no brake pressed. From there, you can gentle start to accelerate, reacing for the end of the corner with your wheels straight and full throttle.
Go for it!
